From November 29 to December 2, the second international defense industry exhibition IDEX (Egypt Defense Expo) was held in Cairo. JSC "Research Institute of Steel" also took part in the exhibition.
The Research Institute of Steel presented at the exhibition new means of individual armor protection, in particular modular armor sets of the "Record" and "Dorzor" series, as well as new Elbrus-T and K26 armor helmets.
The Elbrus-T armor helmet has a protective structure using a high-strength economically alloyed titanium alloy, which makes it one of the lightest helmets in the Br-2 class.
The exhibits that received special attention at the institute's stand were developments in the field of protection of armored vehicles - elements of dynamic protection 4C22, 4C20, 4C23, 4C24, samples of dynamic protection units for BMP-3 and T-72B3.
This year the IDEX exhibition was visited by more than 30,000 people who were able to get acquainted with the products and developments of more than 400 exhibiting companies from 42 countries of the world.
Russia was represented at the IPEX exhibition by several companies, in particular, Almaz-Antey Concern, as well as Rostec State Corporation and its constituent Rosoboronexport, Russian Helicopters, Roselectronics, High-Precision Complexes, Technodinamika holdings.
