Armored steel

The Research Institute of Steel has been developing armor steels for various purposes for more than 70 years. Thick-sheet steels with a strength level of 1700-1900 MPa of the "22SH" and "24SH" brands developed in the 70s are used for anti-discharge booking of tanks, thin-sheet steels of the "7" and "77" brands with a strength level of 2000-2100 MPa are used in booking LBM. Ultra-high-strength steels of the "44" brand with a strength level of 2150 MPa are used in personal protective equipment. Currently, the Research Institute of Steel is launching a new brand of bulletproof steel armor – "44S-sv-Sh".
