Anti-fragmentation screens are installed inside the combat compartment and are designed to protect the crew and equipment from the fragmentation flow that occurs when the main armor is penetrated.
Installation of anti-splinter screens reduces the angle of splinter scattering by 3 times and their number by 10 times, which increases the survival rate of equipment and crew on the battlefield several times. As a rule, screens are made of aramid ballistic fabrics or UHMWPE.
