"Research Institute of Steel" was one of the first in Russia to start booking cars. The first domestic armored cars based on VAZ-212182, Chevrolet Tahoe, UAZ 31514, ZIL5301, Ford E-350, etc. were developed and began to be produced at the "Research Institute of Steel".
Today, the Institute specializes in the development of reservations for military vehicles of a high level of protection, including promising ones (Tiger, Bear, Typhoon-U, etc.). On an initiative basis, it develops and books executive class cars according to the highest level of protection 6A according to GOST R-50963-96.
